Birthday Banners for New Catalogue Pennsationals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pennsationals New Catalogue Launch Blog Hop.  Phew, that was a mouthful hey!
We are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators who love to blog. I hope you enjoy the blog hop & don't forget we love comments so please leave a comment at the end of the post!

Today I am sharing 2 cards I made as part of a Birthday Banners set for our Winter Retreat.  There were 6 cards in this set & over the next week I will be sharing the rest of the class.

I wanted to share how the Pop Of Pink Specialty DSP is primarily pink, but it can be used for both male or female cards.  Those of you who are regular visitors to my blog will know I love to make a Male VS Female set, which is exactly what I have done here!

The first card I made uses Bermuda Bay & Basic Black with a fun new stamp set called Birthday Banners, which can be found on page 15 of the Annual Catalogue.

The sentiment stamps are shaped to perfectly fit in the banner & being made from photopolymer,  it makes this so easy to line up.  I have used the Sprinkles punch for the gold glimmer stars.

My second card is a great card to use up scraps or you could even use washi tape. I have used a new embossing folder in the background called Sparkle.

Here they both are together.  Lots of fun to make & perfect for male or female birthdays.   Here is the colour combo I used:

I hope you enjoyed both my cards.  To continue the hop click the next button below to be whisked over to Rebecca's blog, "The Paper & Stamp Addict"

CTC87 Botanical Builder Box

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blog hop where we use a section of the catalogue to inspire our projects.  This week's projects are CASED from the Artistic Expression section in the Annual Catalogue pages 66 - 91.

I was lucky enough to run a fun Winter Retreat recently & I just had to CASE the Botanical Box on page 142 for the pillow gifts. Everyone who attended got this box with lots of treats inside.

Here is the one in the catalogue:

Here is my version.  The great thing about these is I could just make the doily section & then add them to any project.  I ended up making 20 of these toppers & added them to a box of chocolates & also a card which you will see below.

I used the retired Extra Large Kraft boxes from the clearance rack for the boxes as it was easier than making 20 boxes!  I stamped the small flowers all over the Kraft box using Peekaboo Peach, but it's a bit hard to see in these photos.

As you can see the extra toppers came in handy.  I was able to make a matching card.

I had a few leftover bits so I wrapped a box of chocolates in brown paper & added the extras to that, along with a candle, as a thank you gift for the Continental House crew.

This is such a lovely bright colour combo, don't you think.  These colours are not ones I would normally put together but they look so good together, how could I resist!

Next up on the hop is Monique, I know she has something special to share with you.

I hope you have been inspired today to create something CASED from the catty just like we did.  If you would like to join our challenge click the link below to add your own project.

CTC85 The Tale Of A Bear & A Fox

Hello, & welcome to CASEing the Catty blog hop.  This week we are CASEing the babies & kids section on pages 56-65 of the 2016-2017 Annual catalogue.   I had a little trouble deciding what to CASE so I have chosen to do a swap CASE.  By that I mean I CASEd the fox card using the bear & the bear using the fox card.

So, if I haven't totally confused you I will show you what I mean.

I have CASED the fox card on the left of this photo & used baby bear stamped in greys to match A Little Foxy DSP.  I have also used Badges & Banners stamp set with the new Duet Banner punch for the baby sentiment.

Then I CASED the baby bear card on page 61 using the Foxy bundle.

I used the Layering Squares framelits on this fox card as I felt the square was too plain. I pulled the cross element from the Pop Of Pink DSP & used the new Sparkle embossing folder as a subtle element behind Mr. Fox. The little banners are snipped out of A Little Foxy Dsp.

I hope I have inspired you to pick up your catalogue & CASE something today, it's fun!
