Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Scrapbook Page

OMG! Yes you did read correctly - A scrapbook page!  Now pick yourself up off the floor and sit back on your seat so you can actually look at it!  And yes, I used the Sale-A-Bration everyday enchantment DSP.  Ok, so it is a 6x6 page but hey it is still a scrapbook page!  Many years ago I did a lot of scrapbooking but haven't gone there for over 5 years.  I have been enjoying making cards and had lost interest in scrapbooking.  One of my New Years resolutions was to start scrapbooking again.  At least I tried  :)  My new favourite colour is Soft Suede....have you noticed?

Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration Cards Continued

Ok, I did promise to show some more Sale-A-Bration cards, so I have made a few cards using the Elementary Elegance Stamp set.  These are all similar but have different effects.  The 1st one uses the scallop square and the Spice Cake DSP.  The 2nd one uses Everyday Enchantment (Sale-a-Bration) DSP and is based on a card by Anna Wheaton.  Finally, the 3rd uses the black flocked Mocha Morning DSP & vellum.  The vellum is hard to see but I used it on the embossed background and the stamped image.

The next 2 cards I made using some left over flowers from the previous post's tree, Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Hello sentiment from the Elementary Elegance Stamp Set.  Both feature the Ribbons and brads from Sale-A-Bration as well.

I have a few more things to show you using these amazing Sale-A-Bration sets.....you will have to check back later to see those!

Getting Ready for Paperific!

I know I promised more Sale-A-Bration cards but I had to show you some of my creations I am getting ready to take to Paperific.  I have been busy making lots of exciting new things.  The theme for our stall this year is Flower Shop.

This is a plywood tree and I have decorated it using the New 2011-2013 In Colours.  I have used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and the Scallop Circle Punches.

In Colour Tree

The second creation is a little frame using Cheerful Treat and Flirtatious DSP.  I based it on a frame I saw at Regionals last year.  I bought the frame at the Reject Shop and added just a few elements to show off the butterflies.  The butterflies are cut out of the doily sheet from the Flirtatious DSP using the Beautiful Butterfly Die.

So what do you think?  The first one took me many many hours and the second only 10 minutes.

Stampin Up! Saleabration Cards

Sale-A-Bration is here!  I know I am a bit late in posting this but I have been busy and have not had a chance till now.   Over the next few weeks I will be adding more Sale-a-Bration cards and ideas using each stamp set. Today I have mainly focused on the Fresh Vintage stamp set.  I must say the Sale-A-Bration items are really pretty this year. I love the DSP and brads. Fresh Vintage does have a real vintage theme but as you can see you can do some modern looks with it.

I {heart} Hearts meets Mr. Owl

I recently posted a card I made using the mini envelope and I {heart} hearts stamp set I made for a class and then decided it was too hard.  Well silly me changed my mind - it is a woman's prerogative!  I even made it harder and added an owl punch.  It turned out quite nice don't you think? They all managed fine and it really was quite fun and frustrating to make!
