Paperific Expo Melbourne, 2012 - Stampin' Up! Stand

Hi Everyone.
I had a great time yesterday meeting lots of lovely like minded crafting ladies at Paperific.  I even met a few from down my way which was really nice.  Jane and Rose have done so much work and really pulled off a great stand this year.  There is so much to see and do in our stand and lots of amazing works of art.  Here are a few snaps Simone took yesterday - Thanks Simone!  Silly me forgot my camera in the morning rush but as you can see from some of these photos there is a lot on offer.  It really is a paper crafters heaven with lots of stalls selling their wares, plus many have classes and make and takes.

Here I am proudly showing off our work.
Book to Look Cake - Yummy looking and full of prizes!
Lots of great ideas
More cards!
There are still 2 more days of Paperific to go - so if you get a chance to pop into the stand - say hello to the girls and take the time to check out the demonstrations, classes and make and takes on offer.

Thanks for looking,

Stampin' Up! Open Sea

Well I'm back from a refreshing holiday to Bright, Victoria.  It was lovely weather but all the surrounding towns were flooded as part of this crazy weather we have been having.  The house we stayed in was great and we had no flooding so all was good in the end.   I took along a small bag full of goodies to make some nautical cards whilst I was away.  What a great stamp set this Open Sea is.  Great for masculine cards which seem to be rather scarce here.  I used some of the Nautical Expedition DSP on some of them but knowing this won't be available soon I tried to create some cards without it.

Open Seas & Nautical Expedition DSP - Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake
Open Seas & Nautical Expedition DSP - Cherry Cobbler & Early Espresso

These two cards use the Nautical Expedition DSP which coordinate perfectly.  I could only use limited colours and ribbons - one can only carry so much when travelling ;)    I chose Cherry Cobbler and Not Quite Navy for the 1st card but also added a touch of crumb cake.  The 2nd card I used the DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper white and Early Espresso.  I had planned on adding a sentiment to this card but hadn't packed any suitable ones.

Open Seas and Wonderfully Worn

Both these cards use the Wonderfully Worn background stamp in Early Espresso instead of using DSP.  Similar in design with just a change of colours and card stock.  I prefer the 1st one as I was able to add a sentiment  from Afterthoughts (retired).  I was also able to hang the anchor from the twine here too.  I had planned on embossing the anchor but forgot to pack my embossing powder(silly me).

Now I just have to find a few good men to give these to.

Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Cards continued...

Hi Again!  Can you tell I am loving these Sale-A-Bration sets or what?  I have another instalment for you - 3 more cards using the everyday enchantment DSP and Outlined Occasions.  All 3 cards use scraps of the DSP and are a great way to use up any little bits of DSP you have laying around.   Banners are so in right now so I figured why not jump on the bandwagon!

Sale-A-Bration Banner.  I had seen a similar card to this on Pinterest using non Stampin' Up! Products. I loved the design and thought it would work well with the current sale-a-bration products.

Postage Stamp Happy Birthday Card based on one by Dawn Olchefke.  I love how you can show all the Everyday Enchantment DSP on one card.

Outlined Occasions Banner Card.  I just love Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral together!

Which one is your favourite?  Some lucky ladies in my Sale-A-Bration Class tonight are making 2 of these cards.  They will have to wait till tonight to find out which two they are making!
