Stampin' Up! Quick Cards & Tags Using Cheerful Tags Bundle

At this time of year, I am always super busy getting gifts & Chritsmas cards finished for teacher & friend gifts.  It's coming to the end of the school year & I have so many presents to buy & cards to make, Ugh! How about you?  Do you need some ideas?

Last week I held a quick cards & tag class with this specific need in mind.  The cards had to be quick & easy so I could make a bunch at once & I made a matching tag for each card.  The Cheerful tags framelit dies are a great choice for the tags & I really enjoyed using them.  I give lots of bottles of wine at Christmas & for those who dont drink I give bottles of special vinegar or olive oil.

The cards were really just DSP & a stitched circle framelit, with a strip of ribbon for embelishment.  Oh & of course I added a bit of bling to make the recipient feel special.

Bottle tag & matching card in Silver & Emerald Envy.

I just love the colours in the Presents & Pinecones DSP & it coordinates with gold or silver perfectly.
I used the Tin Of Tags stamp set on the circles on the cards as well as a great set from the annual catalogue called Better Together.  Have you checked out the Closeout Sale?  You will find some of the things I used here are actually on sale! Woohoo!  If you click on the products below you will be taken to my online store, where you can view the Close Out Sale items.  The Layering Circle Framelit dies are an overstock item & are part of this sale too!

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 2 Bottle Tag

I know we dont have snow here in Australia for Christmas but I just cant stop using the beautiful new Festive Flurry Framelits & matching stamp set sold as a bundle (#133285).  I often give wine as a present for Christmas so it was a no brainer that I would make a bottle tag out of these.

Festive Flurry Bottle Tag

The tag part is easy.  Just cut a length of DSP or card stock (I used the Winter Frost Specialty DSP) to 20cm x 7cm & scored it at 7cm.  Then I punched out the circle with a 1 3/4" circle punch, but you can use the 1 3/8" circle punch.
For the snowflake I used soft sky cardstock & embossed the large snowflake in white.  I then used the Silver Encore ink pad & made another large snowflake which has been scored & raised on dimensionals.  The last layer is white embossing powder (with a pinch of dazzling diamonds glitter) heat embossed onto vellum.  A small star shaped flower from Boho Blossoms punch & a rhinestone centre & it is all done.

Stamp Sets:  Festive Flurry (131778)
Paper:  Whisper White (106549), Silver Glimmer (124005), Winter Frost Specialty DSP (132341), Soft Sky ( 131292)
Ink:  Silver Metallic Encore Pad (132142)
Cool Tools: Bigshot (113439), Festive Flurry Framelits (132193), Magnetic Platform (130658), Boho Blossoms Punch (119858), Dimensionals (104430), Silicone Craft Sheet (127853),  1 3/4" Circle punch (119850), Basic Rhinestones (119246) & Hot glue gun ( Non-SU).

12 Weeks Of Christmas WEEK 12: A Gift Ensemble

This is my last week if the 12 weeks of Christmas Promotion :(  I have had so much fun creating for it I have decided to do a Saleabration version in the new year.

Here is a little ensemble my Stamp club girls made last week.  With Christmas upon us I thought we could look at ways to present gifts using our stamps, DSP & inks. I focused on Early Espresso, Very Vanilla & the Candlelight Christmas DSP.  The bag was easy. A quick roll across the front with the builder wheel, a snowflake and a bow made of tulle.  The card was even quicker.  I knocked 15 of these off in one go!  I just lined them up and wheeled away.  The kraft box was a little more difficult and required lining up but looked great.  **A word of warning when using wheels with words.  Stamp a sample 1st on a bit of scratch paper to check that the words are the right way up.

Gift Giving Ensemble
We give a lot of wine as gifts so a bottle tag was needed to finish off the ensemble.  The one I made was given away so this is another of my creations based on that original version.  I used the Champagne glimmer paper on this one, unlike the original that only used Very Vanilla & Early Espresso.

I have had fun trying out some of the wheels this month.  I had previously overlooked wheels, however when faced with making 50 Christmas cards/tags/bags I decided they might be worth a try.  I must say it was well worth the investment of only $7.95 each.  Next time you are looking for a quick decorating stamp try the wheels as they are perfect for this job.

Stamp Sets: Choc Full Of Cheer, Snowflake Party Builder Wheel, Good Cheer Builder Wheel.
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Champagne Glimmer paper, Candlelight Christmas DSP.
Ink:  Early Espresso.
Cool Tools: Bigshot, Builder Wheels, Snow Flurry Bigz Die, Silver Brads, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, Naturals Wooden Buttons, 1/4" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue dots, Stapler,  1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 3 1/2" Early Espresso Tulle.

A Quick Thank You Card and Tag

We went on a short holiday last week and I had a friend mind my dog while we were away.  I needed a card and tag to decorate her bottle and here is what I came up with.  Mind you I only had 10 minutes to make it to take to her!

Tracy loves lime green and orange so that is why I have used those colours.  It was way out of my comfort zone as I don't usually use either of those colours.  How cute it that little dog.  Funny thing was when I went to pick up my dog she ran off just like in the photo and we all had to try to catch her.

Stamp Set: Storybook Friends, 14 Phrases (demo stamp set)
Paper:  Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade
Ink:  Crumb Cake & Pumpkin Pie Markers, Basic Black ink.
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Two Tags Die, Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die, Pear Pizazz 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, 1 3/4" Circle Punch.
