12 Weeks of Christmas: Week 10 Calm Christmas Card

Oops I forgot to post this card last week in all the rush.  Those of you that get my newsletter will recognise this card as it is featured there.  I love using Island Indigo at the moment.  One look at my Christmas tree will tell you that! We made this card in one of my Christmas card classes a month or two back & I really liked how it turned out.

I have used Smokey Slate as the base & silver embossing powder for the dove.   The Winter Frost Specialty DSP was used as contrasting background.  I will be sad to see this DSP go as it is one of my favourites.

Stamp Sets:  Calm Christmas (132739)
Paper:   Island Indigo (124390), Smokey Slate (131291), Winter Frost Specialty DSP (132341).
Ink:  VersaMark (102283)
Cool Tools: Bigshot (113439),  Magnetic Platform (130658), Deco Labels Collection Framelits (130102), Silver Embossing Powder (109131), Frosted Finishes Embellishments (132150), Island Indigo 3/4" Chevron Ribbon (131151), Basic Rhinestones (119246).

12 Weeks Of Christmas: Week 2 Card & Gift Box - Festive Flurry vs Chalk Talk

I know, yet another Festive Flurry project, but I promise this is it for now, as I have lots of other projects to show you that feature some exciting new products.  I am showing both the card & box today as I am running a bit behind in my posts.   This box & card combo was our Stamp Club project this month.  My aim was to feature Chalk Talk & the Tag a Boxes but in a Christmassy kind of way. I also wanted to show off the Festive Flurry stamp set & matching framelits as I just love them.

Please excuse the photos - It is a grey rainy day, & the lighting in here is pretty bad today.

Festive Flurry Gift Box
THE BOX:
I used one of the new Tag a Bag Gift Boxes featured in the Annual Catalogue on page 158.  (#130927)  You get 8 in the packet & they come with their own acetate sleeves. These are great for little gifts & would be perfect for that Kris Kringle present we all seem to get landed with at Christmas.   I used the Winter Frost DSP stack & Smokey Slate for the box.

THE TAG:
I then made an extra long tag by folding over the Bermuda Bay cardstock in the Chalk Talk framelit for added length.  I cut a large Festive Flurry snowflake from Silver Glimmer paper, & stamped another large one in Coastal Cabana ink & cut it out too.  We did a bit of scoring on this one & I layered on top a silver embossed medium snowflake, a Bermuda bay small snowflake & then a heat embossed white on vellum small snowflake that was also scored to give it depth.  On top of all this was the crowning glory - a Frosted Finishes Embellishment. Oh and to hold it on the box a Smokey Slate Chevron Ribbon.   Here is a close up of the tag

THE CARD:
A base of Smokey Slate, a thin layer of Bermuda Bay & the matching Winter Frost paper stack were used to offset the Smokey Slate gift tag.  The tag has a small Chalk Talk image plus a silver embossed vellum snowflake.  Layered on this is a Coastal Cabana small snowflake embellished with with some rhinestones & a Silver Glimmer star punched from the Merry Minis Punch Pack which were carried over - Yay!  I used the Expression Thinlits to cut out a Silver Glimmer Merry & phew we were all done!

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 2 Bottle Tag

I know we dont have snow here in Australia for Christmas but I just cant stop using the beautiful new Festive Flurry Framelits & matching stamp set sold as a bundle (#133285).  I often give wine as a present for Christmas so it was a no brainer that I would make a bottle tag out of these.

Festive Flurry Bottle Tag

The tag part is easy.  Just cut a length of DSP or card stock (I used the Winter Frost Specialty DSP) to 20cm x 7cm & scored it at 7cm.  Then I punched out the circle with a 1 3/4" circle punch, but you can use the 1 3/8" circle punch.
For the snowflake I used soft sky cardstock & embossed the large snowflake in white.  I then used the Silver Encore ink pad & made another large snowflake which has been scored & raised on dimensionals.  The last layer is white embossing powder (with a pinch of dazzling diamonds glitter) heat embossed onto vellum.  A small star shaped flower from Boho Blossoms punch & a rhinestone centre & it is all done.

Stamp Sets:  Festive Flurry (131778)
Paper:  Whisper White (106549), Silver Glimmer (124005), Winter Frost Specialty DSP (132341), Soft Sky ( 131292)
Ink:  Silver Metallic Encore Pad (132142)
Cool Tools: Bigshot (113439), Festive Flurry Framelits (132193), Magnetic Platform (130658), Boho Blossoms Punch (119858), Dimensionals (104430), Silicone Craft Sheet (127853),  1 3/4" Circle punch (119850), Basic Rhinestones (119246) & Hot glue gun ( Non-SU).

Stampin' Up! Secret Garden Flower Wallet Featuring 2013-2014 In Colours

I recently held a class where we made a card wallet & created 4 matching cards & envelopes.  We used the Secret Garden Framelits combined with some of the new 2013-2014 In Colours.  If you are wanting to save 15% off this bundle, you have only one week left to purchase the Secret Garden set in a Bundle (131099 clear, 131100 Wood).  They are only available in the new catalogue individually.  This goes for all the bundles in the mini catalogue that ends 30th June.

I am currently working on a PDF file for this class for those that are interested in the class for themselves.

The Card folder is made from an A4 piece of cardstock, scored to create a holder for the cards. FOr this project I used Wisteria Wonder as the folder base & used the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP window sheet on top of Strawberry Slush.  We also got to make some clay flowers using the new Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Moulds.

Secret Garden In Colour Flower Wallet.

For the cards I chose Pistachio Pudding (2013-2014 In Colour) as the card base & we used the new Modern Mosaic( New catty sneak peek) & the Honeycomb embossing folders.  As I could only use preorder items I could not get my hands on any In Colour Ribbon so I made do with the retiring Wisteria Wonder Ruffled ribbon.

Stamp-A-Stack 2012

We had a lovely time this weekend making all our Christmas cards for the holiday season.  Not only did we manage to make 12 cards in 4hrs but we had a lot of fun doing it.   Here are the other cards we made.

Holiday Collection Framelits Cards
Jolly Bingo Bits Joy Card
Holiday Colleciton Framelits Cards

There are a lot of different products used in these cards so I wont go into details.  The Holiday Collection Framelits Cards use the versatile Festival Of Prints DSP Stack which is such great value.  I have made 2 different versions in Cherry Cobbler & the other in Crumb Cake.

The Jolly Bingo Bits Card has been cased from the many I have seen on the internet.  I am not sure who originally designed this card so can't give them credit sorry.  It is a fun card using the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set & circle punches.

We also made the Midnight Muse Ornament & the Polar Party cards from the previous posts as I wanted a different colour selection to the usual red & green.

Quick Scentsational Season Cards

Those of you that came to Paperific may have had the opportunity to make one of my Scentsational Season cards at one my make & take sessions.  They were clean and simple as we were pushed for time but with a bit of embossing powder, an embossing folder or glitter they could easily be stepped up for a more detailed card.  I think they would be great for a stamp-a-stack or something similar.

Paper:  Gumball Green, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Be of Good Cheer DSP
Ink:  Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Cherry Cobbler
Stamp sets: Scentsational Season, Petite Pairs
Cool Tools:  1" square punch, Framelits - Labels Collection, Framelits - Scentsational Season, Dimensionals.
