Stampin' Up! By The Tide Masculine Birthday Card

I created about 45 swaps for convention & wanted to make a masculine card using By The Tide stamp set.   As it was a swap it had to be super quick to make & relatively simple, without bling, ribbon etc.  This sort of card would make a great beginner class card or a make & take at a party.  My favourite colour at the moment is midnight muse so I based my card around that.

12 Weeks of Christmas WEEK 9: Christmas Lodge Revisited

The Christmas Lodge stamp set is such a lovely set, I could not go through the 12 weeks of Christmas and post only one card made with this set.  Today I made a card using colours I would not normally associate with Christmas.  Ridinghood Red & Bashful Blue.  I pulled these colours from the DSP I was using from the Festival Of Prints DSP stack.  I have seen a similar card on Pinterest too using a similiar layout.

I used the Framelits Window collection and the 2 1/2" Circle punch.  I sponged the edges of the lodge circle in Bashful Blue ink and added a bit of snow by using a white gel pen and a bit of Dazzling Details.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

Quick Scentsational Season Cards

Those of you that came to Paperific may have had the opportunity to make one of my Scentsational Season cards at one my make & take sessions.  They were clean and simple as we were pushed for time but with a bit of embossing powder, an embossing folder or glitter they could easily be stepped up for a more detailed card.  I think they would be great for a stamp-a-stack or something similar.
