12 Weeks of Christmas: Week 8 Season of Style Merry Banner

Can you believe this time next month Christmas will be over!  We have less than 4 weeks to go & I have only just started to think about presents.  One of my downline, Leanne made a beautiful banner recently using retired products.  At stamp club last month we all decided it would make a great project for the next month's class.  I have used my old friends Festive Flurry ( I know…..yes AGAIN!) & the Season Of Style DSP for this quick one I whipped up as a sample.  The ladies are hoping to add some stamped images to their own designs on the night. I will take some photos to show you their finished banners next month.

It is very hard to photograph in all its entirity so here is a close up.

I have used Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive with a little of the Champagne Glimmer paper which makes the banner lovely & sparkly. It didn't take very long to make once I had decided on the design & I'm hoping to make a few as gifts for family this Christmas.

12 Weeks Of Christmas - Week 1: Festive Flurry Ornament

Can you believe yesterday was exactly 12 weeks until Christmas?  I look forward to this time of year as I start my Christmas preparation,  I share all my creations with you in my 12 Weeks Of Christmas blog posts.  I try to post one card & one 3d item each week to help inspire some creations.

I am holding an Ornament making class this sunday so what better way to start the countdown than with an ornament!

Festive Flurry Sparkly Ornament

 I have used Smokey Slate & Silver Glimmer paper here for the monotone feel.  The rosette was made using the gorgeous new Winter Frost DSP & I added some of the Festive Flurry snowflakes on top.  Seriously how sparkly are those Frosted Finish Embellishments.  They are too nice to use on just any old thing!  As you will see below they are quite beautiful.

12 Weeks of Christmas WEEK 9: Christmas Lodge Revisited

The Christmas Lodge stamp set is such a lovely set, I could not go through the 12 weeks of Christmas and post only one card made with this set.  Today I made a card using colours I would not normally associate with Christmas.  Ridinghood Red & Bashful Blue.  I pulled these colours from the DSP I was using from the Festival Of Prints DSP stack.  I have seen a similar card on Pinterest too using a similiar layout.

Christmas Lodge Banner Card

I used the Framelits Window collection and the 2 1/2" Circle punch.  I sponged the edges of the lodge circle in Bashful Blue ink and added a bit of snow by using a white gel pen and a bit of Dazzling Details.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.
