12 Weeks Of Christmas: Week 4 Santa Licorice sticks

Staying with the Santa theme I thought I would share some cute little punch art Santas I made for the school fete. I found these on Pinterest.  What cant you find there?!  I am not sure where the original idea comes from but I have to say I just love them.   They are so cute & quite easy to make.  I made 40 of these little fellows & might make a few more for the kids to give out at school for their end of year school parties.

Santa Red Licorice

Each Santa uses 2 x extra large ovals (1 x red, 1 x white), 1 x large oval(pink for face), 1 x old ornament punch, owl punch for nose & mouth, circle punch from Itty Bitty Shapes for his eyes & the bird builder punch (his moustache is the birds wings).

There they all are ready to be packaged up for the fete.  I am busy getting lots of little goodies ready for the fete so you might just see a few more creations very soon.

12 Weeks Of Christmas - Week 4 Santa's List Card

I am running not just a little,  but a a lot behind with these posts!  I have been busy creating, but just haven't photographed them all.   Well I have been busy today & there should be quite a few posts coming over the next few days to get us up to speed.

Santas List stamp set was not one of my favourites from the Holiday catalogue, but like a lot of Stampin' Up! stamps, it grew on me & now  am finding I am using it more & more.  Nothing says Christmas like the jolly old red fellow.  Hmm well, in this case he is a jolly old Early Espresso fellow!

Santa's List Card

Over the next few posts you will see me concentrate on the traditional Christmas colours of red & green.  I have used Cherry Cobbler & Gumball Green on this card & have teamed Santa with the Season Of Style DSP paper Stack (Item # 132181).   These paper stacks are perfect for creating a pile of cards for family & friends this Christmas & are an absolute bargain at just $11.95.

I am running a Stamp-A-Stack class this Sunday & this just so happens to be one of the cards you will be making if you join me.  We are making 6 cards, 3 tags & 3 gift cards holders.  I will be sharing the rest of the designs over the next few posts so please do come back to see them.  If you would like to attend I have 2 spots left.  Contact me on 0411113530 to book your place.

12 Weeks Of Christmas: Week 3 Reindeer Candy Canes

I am participating in a little Christmas Market at the local primary school this year.  I cant wait to get the kids creating & playing with all the Stampin' Up! goodies I have stashed away.  Often when an item retires I keep it for a little while just to see if I use it.  The two tags die is one I will keep using as I love it & find it very versatile.  I was looking through pinterest & came across some cute little reindeers made from this die & thought they would be perfect for my market stall.  These are easy to make so I figure why not get the kids to create their own.

I think they would make a nice little table gift for the kids on Christmas day too.   My kids want to make these for their friends as little christmas presents.

Paper:  Whisper White (106549),  Early Espresso ( 121686) & Red Glimmer Paper (121790)
Cool Tools: Bigshot (113439), 1/2" Circle Punch (119869)), Dimensionals (104430), Black Marker (100082), Googly eyes, retired Poppy Parade ribbon &  Two Tags Die, Candy Canes.

12 Weeks of Christmas: Week 3 Colour Me Christmas Thinlit Swing Card

I am so glad the gorgeous NEW Thinlit Swing Card dies have finally arrived! Yes, you can order them now!  These dies allow you to create lovely cards with a real "Wow".  The thin framelit cuts and scores in the right places with just one pass through your Big Shot.

There are two shapes to choose from, and each die comes with 8 or 9 additional framelit shapes to help dress up your cards.

I used the oh so cute Colour Me Christmas Stamp set with the funny little reindeer & chose to use the Circle Thinlit & the Season Of Style paper stack for a quick easy background.

12 Weeks Of Christmas: Week 2 Card & Gift Box - Festive Flurry vs Chalk Talk

I know, yet another Festive Flurry project, but I promise this is it for now, as I have lots of other projects to show you that feature some exciting new products.  I am showing both the card & box today as I am running a bit behind in my posts.   This box & card combo was our Stamp Club project this month.  My aim was to feature Chalk Talk & the Tag a Boxes but in a Christmassy kind of way. I also wanted to show off the Festive Flurry stamp set & matching framelits as I just love them.

Please excuse the photos - It is a grey rainy day, & the lighting in here is pretty bad today.

Festive Flurry Gift Box
THE BOX:
I used one of the new Tag a Bag Gift Boxes featured in the Annual Catalogue on page 158.  (#130927)  You get 8 in the packet & they come with their own acetate sleeves. These are great for little gifts & would be perfect for that Kris Kringle present we all seem to get landed with at Christmas.   I used the Winter Frost DSP stack & Smokey Slate for the box.

THE TAG:
I then made an extra long tag by folding over the Bermuda Bay cardstock in the Chalk Talk framelit for added length.  I cut a large Festive Flurry snowflake from Silver Glimmer paper, & stamped another large one in Coastal Cabana ink & cut it out too.  We did a bit of scoring on this one & I layered on top a silver embossed medium snowflake, a Bermuda bay small snowflake & then a heat embossed white on vellum small snowflake that was also scored to give it depth.  On top of all this was the crowning glory - a Frosted Finishes Embellishment. Oh and to hold it on the box a Smokey Slate Chevron Ribbon.   Here is a close up of the tag

THE CARD:
A base of Smokey Slate, a thin layer of Bermuda Bay & the matching Winter Frost paper stack were used to offset the Smokey Slate gift tag.  The tag has a small Chalk Talk image plus a silver embossed vellum snowflake.  Layered on this is a Coastal Cabana small snowflake embellished with with some rhinestones & a Silver Glimmer star punched from the Merry Minis Punch Pack which were carried over - Yay!  I used the Expression Thinlits to cut out a Silver Glimmer Merry & phew we were all done!

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 2 Bottle Tag

I know we dont have snow here in Australia for Christmas but I just cant stop using the beautiful new Festive Flurry Framelits & matching stamp set sold as a bundle (#133285).  I often give wine as a present for Christmas so it was a no brainer that I would make a bottle tag out of these.

Festive Flurry Bottle Tag

The tag part is easy.  Just cut a length of DSP or card stock (I used the Winter Frost Specialty DSP) to 20cm x 7cm & scored it at 7cm.  Then I punched out the circle with a 1 3/4" circle punch, but you can use the 1 3/8" circle punch.
For the snowflake I used soft sky cardstock & embossed the large snowflake in white.  I then used the Silver Encore ink pad & made another large snowflake which has been scored & raised on dimensionals.  The last layer is white embossing powder (with a pinch of dazzling diamonds glitter) heat embossed onto vellum.  A small star shaped flower from Boho Blossoms punch & a rhinestone centre & it is all done.

Stamp Sets:  Festive Flurry (131778)
Paper:  Whisper White (106549), Silver Glimmer (124005), Winter Frost Specialty DSP (132341), Soft Sky ( 131292)
Ink:  Silver Metallic Encore Pad (132142)
Cool Tools: Bigshot (113439), Festive Flurry Framelits (132193), Magnetic Platform (130658), Boho Blossoms Punch (119858), Dimensionals (104430), Silicone Craft Sheet (127853),  1 3/4" Circle punch (119850), Basic Rhinestones (119246) & Hot glue gun ( Non-SU).
