Mocha Morning Mother's Day Class

Hi again,
I've had a lot of interest in my Mocha Morning one sheet wonder board I made for Paperific, so I decided to make up a class using some of the cards.  It included a Card Folder to hold 4 cards and matching envelopes in.  This would make a lovely gift for Mother's Day or someone's birthday.  I ran this as a Mocha Morning Mother's Day Class here at my house last night.  Here is what we made.

A card folder with 4 cards and envelopes inside.
Card Folder -Holds 4 x C4 Cards & Envelopes

And the four cards are:

They all turned out slightly different, but lovely just the same.  Well done girls on a beautiful job.  You all did so well to finish your boxes and cards in the small amount of time we had.

The card box is based on this video by Carrie Cudney from Stampin' Up! US office.  I have changed the dimensions so I could fit the envelopes inside, but the principle is the same.

Stampin' Up! Twitterpated Blossom Punch Card

I saw a similar card to this recently on the internet somewhere and liked the concept of it.  I always like to provide a link to the original creator or inspiration but in this case I honestly can't remember Julie's last name or her blog address.  If anyone out there recognises it could you please let me know Julie's blog details so I can give her due credit.

Anyhow, here is my version of Julie's lovely twitterpated card.  I have changed it up a bit and used the rock & roll technique on the blossom flower.  If you like this paper, perhaps you might like to buy a packet in May.   Stampin' Up! are having a Paper Party Promotion where you buy 3 packets of paper and get 1 free!  Details for this are coming soon so stay tuned.

Twitterpated Masculine Card

Is it just me or do you have trouble making a masculine card too?  I struggle to pare it back so to speak.  I love adding ribbons and flowers and butterflies but they just don't cut it with manly cards do they.  I struggle with them and often either go too far or not far enough with embellishments.  I personally don't like ribbon on a masculine card - how about you?

Recently I attempted a masculine Pedal Presents card which I don't think worked. :( At least I tried!  I pulled the card apart & converted it recently into this card:

While a little simple - it works much better for the intended recipient.  Anyone out there have tips on making masculine cards?  Do you use ribbon on a masculine card? What embellishments do you think work for manly cards?

Stampin Up! Pedal Presents Twitterpated Card

Here is feminine version of the Pedal Present card.  This one uses Twitterpated floral paper and more colouring & layering with the Labels Framelit dies.    This is my swap for the Eureka Stampers Mini Swap.  I would have liked to have added a big bow but being a swap I decided to hold off on the bow.  I am really loving this Twitterpated DSP - there are both masculine and feminine patterns which makes it quite versatile.

Stampin Up! Masculine Pedal Presents Card

I have lots of birthdays over the next few months so I thought I would get started on a few.  I love the simplicity of the new Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue hostess stamp set - Pedal Presents.  My brother in law teaches bike ed at primary schools and figured why not try a masculine card with this stamp set.  I am not sure if it works as a masculine stamp though.  Sorry Scott I guess everyone knows you are turning 40 now -  Happy Birthday!

Every kid I know loves Angry Birds at the moment, so it was inevitable I would have to make a card for one of them sooner or later featuring one of these little birds.  Those of you that know me, know I love a good bird card but these birds are not pretty to say the least!
Recently I have been researching punch art and whilst I was surfing the internet I came across a great tutorial by Debbie Naylor  at Unfrogettable Stamping!  Click on her name to go to that tutorial.  Here is my version of her tutorial - made just for my niece.  Happy Birthday Indiah!

Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets

While I am busy packing and cleaning I thought I would share with you a card I had made a little while ago.  I saw this gorgeous card on Teneale Williams website and just had to CASE it - why change perfection I say!  I did change a few little things but it is fairly close to the original.  I love all things neutral and having won (Yes WON - Yay Me!) Fabulous Florets stamp set at Stampin' Up! Regionals in Melbourne, I thought I would ink it up and give it a try.  It was quite involved, but I am sure you will agree well worth the effort.  This one is off to my downline Leanne - Happy Birthday Leanne!

Stampin' Up! Twitterpated Dress Card

I am still up to my ears in boxes, packing & sorting and have not had time to show you any of the cards I have made with the new Autumn/Winter Mini products.  Whilst I was at Paperific, I had the opportunity to work with some amazing creative ladies.  We all made display boards and one in particular caught my eye.  Felicity had made a board featuring Twitterpated - the new DSP that features in the Autumn/Winter mini.  I just love the old world feel of this paper and her board inspired me to crack open my new packet of Twitterpated & create this card.

There are lots of these dress cards out there.  I saw one like this on Pinterest recently.  If you click on the Follow Me On Pinterest  button on the right -->  you can see my pin boards and maybe you might just be inspired too!

Stampin' Up! Card Folio

Hi again.  I have been a bit busy packing boxes and getting our house ready for sale so my creating has had to take a back seat for a little while.   I am planning a Mother's Day class on Thursday 26th April @ 7pm  -shoot me an email if you are interested in coming along.  We are making a card folio and 4 cards to go inside and will be based on my popular Mocha Morning set.  Here is the link to those cards.

Today I had a few minutes hours to make a prototype of the card holder we will be making.  It is still in the evolving stage but I thought I would show you how it was coming along. The one we make won't be these colours & won't use this stamp set, but you can get a general idea of the shape from the photo.  After taking so long to make I decided I had to show you all the fruits of my labour.   Phew! It took forever to figure out without a template but I think I have the shape sorted out!  Yay for the scoring tool!  Love it - especially for boxes, folios and 3D projects. I have decided I am geometrically challenged :( as this took way too long to figure out.  Next time I am going to youtube for answers!!!
