Baby Bear Sneak Peek - Male Vs Female

I love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  Not only do I get to craft with amazing products but I also get to attend Onstage, an event twice a year where we get to see & bring home some awesome new products.  Stampin' Up! are very generous & give away prizes at these events in the form of stamp sets, embellishments, inks & even the New catalogue to take home. The best part about Onstage is everyone wins a prize!

Today I am sharing a very cute new stamp set called Baby Bear.  It will be very popular once the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue goes live on June 1st!  I was having a play with some retiring products & figured a great way to welcome the NEW is to say goodbye to some great retiring products at the same time.

I have made both a female & male version of this cute little bear, both using current & retiring products.  This stamp is a 3 step stamp & requires a keen eye to line up.  These ones are not perfectly lined up, but still look great.  I have used Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake & Early Espresso as the 3 layers of inks on the girl bear below.  I gave this bear a bit of extra dimension by cutting an extra head & raising it up on dimensionals.

Girl Baby Bear

I have used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack & blushing Bride cotton ribbon (both retiring) for the bow & flower on the bear's ear. The good news is the frame for the sentiment & the flower, both from the Rose Garden thinlit dies, from the Occasions Catalogue.   The DSP is Blushing Bride from the Subtles DSP paper stack.

For the boy bear, I have used Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip as the ink layers. I prefer the Chocolate chip for a softer fur feel.

Boy Baby Bear
The boy bear needs less embellishment, just his cute little bow which is included in the stamp set.  I stamped his bow in Marina Mist & Night Of Navy.  I have used the Go Wild DSP stack for the background, Night Of Navy Seam Binding ribbon & the Curvy Corner Trio punch - ALL retiring!

I can tell this little Baby Bear is going to be very very popular come June 1st.  I have already fallen in love with his cuteness!   I have provided the links to the retiring products I have mentioned in my shop list below.  I urge you to buy what you love before it goes as these retiring products are selling out very fast, & with only a month to go, they won't last that long as they are all while stocks last!

Welcome Baby for CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog, you have most likely hopped along to me from Stasia Sloma's blog.  How cute is her scrapbook page!

CASE-ing the Catty has now become a blog hop so all you need to do is keep hopping around and you’ll see a fabulous range of projects to get you inspired and crafting all week long.  I am so excited to be joining in as a guest designer, & look forward to seeing all the wonderful creations by these amazingly talented ladies.

Today we are casing the baby section of the Occasions Catalogue & I chose to case this card on page 38.

I love the simple layout of this card & while I am mourning the loss of Blendabilities, I thought this was a great opportunity to try our some colouring using blender pens & ink pads.

I'm also in pre mourning mode for the 2013-2015 In Colours - can you tell?! I love the softness of Crisp Cantaloupe as a change up from pink on a baby card.  I used both Crisp Cantaloupe & Baked Brown Sugar as they just go together so well.  I used one of my all time favourite baby stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue called Baby We've Grown with a surprise addition of the Occasions Catalogue wedding stamp set Your Perfect Day.

I hope you have enjoyed my part of the Blog hop, now it's time to move on to the very talented Jackie Noble don't stop hopping!

Baby Shower

Here I am again - WOW two posts in one day!  I have really missed making cards and today I was asked to make a baby shower card for a friend.  I only had a small amount of time - I really hate deadlines!!!  I would have liked to really play with it a bit more and add some ribbon and more colour but I just didn't have the time. I did pop the rompers up with dimensionals.  I knew the recipient was having a girl but I don't think she wanted others to know so I mixed it up with some blue and green.  Naww, so sad those times are over for me :(   The Slice of Life set from SU came to mind immediately - I had not used it yet so was really looking forward to it.  I dont have much "Baby style" designer paper so I had to make do with the topnote die.

I only had a half hour to come up with something so I was a bit rushed!  The little rompers are coloured with pens and the top note die was embossed with the perfect polka dots embossing folder.

Stamp Set: A Slice Of Life (Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue), Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Bashful Blue, Pretty In Pink, So Saffron, Whisper White.
Ink: Baja Breeze, Basic Black, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette.
Cool Tools:  Big Shot Machine, Top Note Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Modern Label X-Large Punch, Word Window Punch.
