CTC 93 Artistic Expressions Touchable Texture

Welcome back to another week of Blog hopping with CASE-ing the Catty. This week we are CASE-ing the Artistic Expression section of the Annual Catalogue from page 92-157.  SO much to choose from.

Today I have chosen to case a card on page 105.

I'm a very tactile person & this touchable texture card using the Petal Burst embossing folder peaked my interest.  I hadn't used Flower Shop stamp set in ages so I dug it out & made this.  You can never have too many birthday cards & this one already has a new home to go to.

I am totally not an orange loving gal, but I do love this new Peekaboo Peach colour. It's bright, yet has a lovely softness to it.  I don't have the Congrats framelits so a simple stamped sentiment replaced this.  I also used Flirty Flamingo & Daffodil Delight for my flowers & teamed them with a Dapper Denim sentiment.  I always find myself reaching for the gorgeous new In Colours when creating new projects.

Whilst I was creating this card the postman delivered my preorder box, so I cracked that open & had a little play with some new Holiday Catalogue products, using the same card design.

I have used the Holly embossing folder along with the new Holly Berry Happiness bundle.  Aren't bundles great! A punch & a matching stamp set - Yay!  I've also used a small strip of the bright but very pretty (there will be more projects to come using this) Presents & Pinecones DSP. Once again, I used another new In Colour - Emerald Envy.  Teamed with Real Red, White & a touch of Mint Macaron it makes a great Christmas combo.

Well, that's it from me this week.  I can't wait to have a proper play with my Holiday Catalogue products.  OMG they are all so beautiful, you will all love this catalogue.  Not long now to wait, as it goes live September 1st!

Next up on the hop is Deb at A Time To Stamp,  I am sure you are going to be inspired. by her creation.

Baby Bear Sneak Peek - Male Vs Female

I love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  Not only do I get to craft with amazing products but I also get to attend Onstage, an event twice a year where we get to see & bring home some awesome new products.  Stampin' Up! are very generous & give away prizes at these events in the form of stamp sets, embellishments, inks & even the New catalogue to take home. The best part about Onstage is everyone wins a prize!

Today I am sharing a very cute new stamp set called Baby Bear.  It will be very popular once the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue goes live on June 1st!  I was having a play with some retiring products & figured a great way to welcome the NEW is to say goodbye to some great retiring products at the same time.

I have made both a female & male version of this cute little bear, both using current & retiring products.  This stamp is a 3 step stamp & requires a keen eye to line up.  These ones are not perfectly lined up, but still look great.  I have used Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake & Early Espresso as the 3 layers of inks on the girl bear below.  I gave this bear a bit of extra dimension by cutting an extra head & raising it up on dimensionals.

Girl Baby Bear

I have used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack & blushing Bride cotton ribbon (both retiring) for the bow & flower on the bear's ear. The good news is the frame for the sentiment & the flower, both from the Rose Garden thinlit dies, from the Occasions Catalogue.   The DSP is Blushing Bride from the Subtles DSP paper stack.

For the boy bear, I have used Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip as the ink layers. I prefer the Chocolate chip for a softer fur feel.

Boy Baby Bear
The boy bear needs less embellishment, just his cute little bow which is included in the stamp set.  I stamped his bow in Marina Mist & Night Of Navy.  I have used the Go Wild DSP stack for the background, Night Of Navy Seam Binding ribbon & the Curvy Corner Trio punch - ALL retiring!

I can tell this little Baby Bear is going to be very very popular come June 1st.  I have already fallen in love with his cuteness!   I have provided the links to the retiring products I have mentioned in my shop list below.  I urge you to buy what you love before it goes as these retiring products are selling out very fast, & with only a month to go, they won't last that long as they are all while stocks last!

Painted Blooms 50th Birthday Card & A Sneak Peek Version too!

I almost forgot to share this card I made for a friends birthday in April.  Can you believe it was a whole month ago!  I was waiting for the recipient to get her card before I shared it with the whole world, then I completely forgot all about it in the excitement of Convention.   I took a quick photo before I gave it to her, but unfortunately the photo isn't that good.  You will get the idea though.

Here is Leanne's card:

Happy 50th Leanne!

I used Rose Red which isn't a colour I use very much, but it looks lovely with the Painted Blooms DSP & Soft Sky don't you think?

Ok so as I was loading this up onto the blog, I decided I needed to make a "NEW" version of this card.  Whilst at convention we were given a pack of the Bohemian DSP.  I am NOT a fan of purple so this one was my least favourite gifts.  I was stumped as to how I was going to use this paper.  When I got home I preordered the in colours & my least favourite colour was Delightful Dijon.  To me it was far from delightful!  But, after challenging myself to use both this DSP & the non delightful dijon I actually quite like them both now!   I think that YES they are rather strong bold colours, but when used correctly you can get a soft effect.

I am not kidding you this DSP is bright!

My recreated version in Bohemian DSP:

You know I am starting to like this Dijon Colour!  I have made a few more cards using this DSP which I will share soon.    Which version do you prefer?  Old or new?

A Wedding Card & A Sneak Peek for CTC 29 - Occasions Sketch Inspiration

Hi There! You may have just hopped here from Elizabeth's blog or you may have hopped here all on your own! Either way, welcome & enjoy this blog hop we have prepared for you today.

I am just back from the Stampin' Up! Convention on the Gold Coast where we got to launch the new 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue.  As usual I had a ball!  I had lots of fun times with old & new friends, saw exciting new products to play with and I got to come home with an awesome new catalogue!  It is a little hard to come down from all that excitement, but I need to focus so I can show you my sketch inspiration for CASE-ing the Catty 29 sketch.

Here is the Sketch

And….here is my card I created using the ever so lovely Something Borrowed DSP from the Occasions Catty on page 42.

CTC29 Wedding Card

Close up of the cake

As you can see I did a little paper piecing on this card.  This is a gorgeous wedding stamp set don't you think?  I love it & plan on keeping it in my stash of stamps to use again & again.  It's a keeper!

Now, as I said before I am just back from Convention 2015.  As part of Manager reception we received the most stunning little stamp set from the upcoming New 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue. It is called Awesomely Artistic & has a real vintage arty feel.  I love the dragonfly in this set, however today I chose to stick to the sketch & make you up a special version just for this blog hop using the sketch above.   Since all of those soft pretty In Colours from 2013-2015 have chosen to leave me, I have used my new favourite colour Soft Sky.

Sneak Peek Annual Catty "Awesomely Artistic"

This set would make such a lovely Mother's day card, but since it is my birthday today….I figured I would make this one into my very own birthday card!  I went a little crazy on the pearls but those who know me, know that I share my birthday with someone very special to me & the pearls are for her.

How cute & versatile is that new label stamp in the set?!  I bet you are wondering if there is a matching punch to go with that?!  Well, stay tuned as the new catalogue goes live on June 2nd!  If you would like your very own copy of the new catalogue let me know & I can send one out to you as soon as they arrive.

The next stop on the hop is my good friend Rebecca, where I know you will love what she has made.

Something Old, Something New - 2014 Occasions Catalogue Sneak Peek

A nice big box full of Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue product arrived 2 days ago, but life got in the way..…until now.   I managed to finally get creating with my lovely new products today. Nicole, (from Nic Nac Lovelies) & I had a lovely craft day creating lots of new sneak peeks just for you.   The Occasions catalogue goes live 28th January, so not long to wait!

One of the many reasons I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is we get to preorder & play with all the new catalogue products a whole month before they are released.  I loved the So Grateful stamp set right away & could see lots of great uses for it.  Today I chose to water colour it using my blender pens & markers.   I could have sworn I saw a card just like this recently but it seems I may have dreamt it.  I looked high & low today & I could not find anything like it.  So, it seems it may just be my very own creation.

I don't often use subtle colours.  Those of you that know me, know I am far from subtle ;) I am a more bright, In Colour type of girl.  For this card I wanted to use the Venetian Romance DSP and for some reason Baked Brown Sugar & Blushing Bride.  They work well together don't you think?

I have used 3 new sneak peek products here - can you pick it?  That twine is a Sale-ABration item coming very very soon & the striped flag is from a new Occasions Catalogue stamp set called Perfect Pennants.

I have lots more sneak peeks in store for you.   Sale-A-Bration is just under 3 weeks away so for the next few weeks you will be seeing my countdown creations to this very special event.  Once again this year I am holding my Sale-A-Bration day event on the 23rd February.  Last year's event was an all day saga, however, this years will run 10:30 am - 4:00 pm & will be held at my house.  More info regarding this day will be released next week.  But for now, keep that date free if you would like to attend.

Stamp Sets:  So Very Grateful (133053), Perfect Pennants (133230)
Paper:   Baked Brown Sugar (131301), Blushing Bride (124392), Very Vanilla (106550) Water Colour paper (
