Stampin' Up! Baby Bootie Card

Stocking Punch Baby Card

Today I was asked to make a baby card for some family friends that have just had a baby boy.  I pulled out my trusty stocking stamp set and punch and VOILA easy quick card!  It is based on a card I have seen on split coast stampers and more recently on Simone Bartrum's Blog.  It is a simple design but really effective with the addition of little ribbons.

Stamp Set: Stitched Stockings, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Whisper White, Bashful Blue.
Ink: Bashful Blue
Ribbon: 1/4 " Grosgrain Whisper White
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Perfect Pennant Die, Stocking Tag Builder Punch, Modern label Punch, Word Window Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Square Lattice Embossing folder.

Valentines Hearts

I originally created this card for a card class I am doing but it was very involved and time consuming.  I love the little envelopes and have seen lots of Valentine's cards like this.  I used the red glimmer paper which gives it such a lovely sparkly feel.

Stamp Set: I {heart} Hearts, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Red Glimmer Paper, Real Red, Very Vanilla.
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Real Red, Basic Black
Ribbon: 5/8" Real Red Satin Ribbon
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Scallop Envelope Die, Small Heart Punch, Heart To Heart Punch, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

I was lucky enough to participate in a card swap through Stampin Connection recently and wanted to show off the work of these talented and friendly ladies.  I was amazed by how lovely they all were - I just couldn't pick a favourite so am showing you them all.

Stampin Up! Valentines Forever Young

I just love the tree stamp from Forever Young and have been wanting to have a play with it for so long!  I came across a beautiful card not so long ago by Keren Baker using the same tree and just loved the colours she used.  I have changed my card a little but the basics are the same.  I used the Red Glimmer paper & Pumpkin Pie for the hearts and Pumpkin Pie for the card base.  I embossed the tree and gave the little girl a red dress, except in this photo it seems to have fallen off a bit! Rest assured she is now redressed and decent again :)   I just love how the bright colours give this image a more modern look.  I think it makes a great Valentine's Day card so have added a Valentine's sentiment and scallop oval & have sponged real red to the edges of the whisper white just a touch.

Stamp Set: Forever Young, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Red Glimmer Paper, Real Red, Whisper White.
Ink: Versermark, Black Embossing Powder, Basic Black
Ribbon: 5/8" Real Red Satin Ribbon
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Scallop Circle #2 die, 1/16 "circle punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Itty bitty Shapes (hearts made by trimming down the flower) Punches, Large Oval Punch, Sponge, Clear Rhinestone Brad.

Stampin Up! Creative Elements Mocha Morning Set

I have finally cleared the mess from my desk today and managed to make a set of cards using the Creative Elements Stamp set and Mocha Morning DSP.  It is based on a set that Andrea Walford made a few years ago with the now retired stamp set Simple Friendship.

Stampin Up! Christmas Gift Card Holders

I have a lot of family I buy gift cards for and this is the first year I have made gift card holders.  Normally I put them in an envelope and they are very uninteresting.   I saw on a blog somewhere (I cant remember the creator sorry) these great gift card holders made with the Sizzix Top Note Die.  They are very easy to make and are really cute.  These could be adapted to any design not just xmas.  I can just imagine these done for any special occasion.

I have used real red for the top ones and  Christmas Cocoa DSP from last years Christmas promotion.  The bottom two are made with Letters to Santa DSP and Riding hood red.  As you can see there are two topnotes attached with a brad that swivels to reveal the gift card.
Real Red Santa Gift Card Holder

Here is one I have swiveled upwards to reveal the card.  I have added a small box for writing who the card is to and from.

Stamp Set: Jolly Bingo Bits, Contempo Christmas
Paper: Red Red, Riding hood Red Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer paper, Christmas Cocoa DSP, Letters To Santa DSP.
Ink: Real Red, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive (leaves)
Embellishments: Silver and Brass brads,
Ribbon: Real Red 5/8" Satin ribbon, Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Safe New Year

Stampin Up! Up In The Air Easel Calendar Card

I have been having a play with some of my SU! Summer Mini Catalogue goodies.  Today I have used the hostess set called Up In The Air.  It has lovely soft lines with birds and branches and it is easily coloured in to create a pretty card.  I have been wanting to do an easel calendar card for ages and this set works well with this idea in mind.

I used Chocolate Chip cardstock for the base and  added Marina Mist, Whisper White and Bashful Blue for a soft feminine look.  The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die.

The little calendar tears off and this would look pretty on a desktop or by the phone I am thinking.

Stamp Set: Up In The Air ( SU! Summer Mini 2011-2012 Catalogue.)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Bashful Blue & Subtles DSP.
Ink: Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi (leaves)
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Scallop Square Duo Die,Beautiful Wings Embosslit die, Jewels, Scallop Trim Border punch.  Non-SU mini Calendar.
Ribbon: Whisper White 1/4 " grosgrain ribbon.
