Like I said in my last post, the stamp club ladies were coming to celebrate our Christmas party & to make their very own version of the star wreath I made.
Here are a few photos of their creations…..

Stamp Club Xmas Party
Another year of stamp clubs over. I just wanted to say what a lovely group of supportive & gorgeous ladies these are. I consider them all my good friends & look forward to another great year of stamp club fun! I will be starting a new Stamp Club in April 2015. These will run on a Monday & a Thursday night with a maximum of 8 ladies in each group. I am moving house in March so the new stamp club will be in my new house….yet to be determined, but will be around the Torquay area still.
I have spent the day cutting out what feels like hundreds of Star Framelits to make this wreath. I do like it but it was a labour of love I can tell you. I decorate for the holidays using silver, white & blue so the All is Calm DSP worked in perfectly for my decor.
My stamp club ladies are coming over tonight for our Christmas party. We make a big project each year & I get to be the hostess - Yay! They are making these wreathes in their chosen decor colours. Most have chosen Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive with the Season Of Style (retired) DSP. I can't wait to see their creations. I managed to get the wreathes on sale on the clearance rack a few months ago. They are the Burlap & Blooms Wreath Kit, which we are changing to suit our Christmas needs.
I will take some photos of the ladies creations & put them on the blog next week. I am particularly interested to see how Monica's Black & Silver creation turns out.
Over the next few posts I will be sharing a few of my projects I presented at our team day in February.
I presented projects using the Spiral Flower Die from the Occasions Catalogue. It was love at first sight for me with this die. I could see so many projects before I even got my hands on it. Today I am showing two more projects, my framed art & my burlap wreath.
I found the frame at a second hand shop & it had broken glass. I had no use for the glass anyway. I went to the local hardware store & got them to match a sample pot of paint to Pool Party card stock. I think they did a terrific job on the colour match don't you? I have used the Spiral Flower Die with the Gold Foil Sheets, Vellum & Cardstock. I also used the new Banner framelits & Sale-A-Bration Twine for this project. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a new stamp set in the Occasions Catalogue called Another Great Year.
I have used the same roses on the wreath as I used on the frame, except this time I sponged them in Gold Encore Ink. I cut out some Gold foil leaves with the Secret Garden Framleits & used the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon to cover a styrofoam wreath.

Last week I had a great time working at the Craft & Quilt Fair in Melbourne and had the opportunity to demonstrate our great new tool - the Simply Scored Tool. While there are lots of different tools like this out there, none of them in my opinion match the price and quality of this product.
I was demonstrating how to make these rosette flowers, lollie flowers or medallions as people call them. They are so easy to make and have so many uses. I used a group of mine to make a wreath for Christmas just like the one above. Here is mine:
If you are new to the Simply Scored there is a great video HERE made by Stampin' Up! that explains how to use both the metric and imperial score plates and how to make the rosettes.
The Diagonal Score Plate was a new addition recently for Stampin' Up! and for those of you that have the whole package and want to make envelopes or fancy cards here is a great video to show you how.
There are lots & lots of videos on YouTube that demonstrate this tool - these are just two I selected for you to watch.
If you have just bought this tool then Congratulations on your new purchase! It is an amazingly easy tool to use and so versatile. I am enjoying using mine and can't wait to show you more creations....stay tuned!
Hello to all those lovely ladies I met at the Craft Show last week. As a member of our team I got to join in the fun of demonstrating at the show. Our stall was tiny but packed full of great ideas. Rose & I got busy on the Thursday & Friday demonstrating the amazing new Simply Scored Tool. I made a wreath out of the Christmas paper (sneak peek from new catalogue) Be of Good Cheer using the score tool. It was easy once I swapped the tape for a hot glue gun. I needed a solid base and the glue gun helped there. I can't wait till we get the silicone mat as that will make creating these so much easier. I did walk away with a few burns from the glue gun as we only just met and are still making friends ;)
Here are a few photos of us setting up on the 1st day of the show. Boy that place got crazy crowded and our stall looked so nice & cozy amongst all the others.
