12 Weeks Of Christmas: Weeks 1-3 - Santa Stache Bags & Card & Tiny Treat Endless Wishes

Yes, I know I have been very naughty & have been neglecting my blog.   I have been working really hard for the last 3 weeks getting all the projects & displays ready for my Create Your Christmas day tomorrow.  Phew I have finally finished the preparations & can at last sit & visit with you all.  I always do a 12 weeks of Christmas special so as a catch up I am showing 3 projects for weeks 1-3.

Those of you that know me personally, know I always create a special bag for my events.  It is one of the things I really enjoy as I get to increase the scale of my project.   Here is my bag design for tomorrow.

Project 1 (Week 1 of my 12 Weeks Of Christmas)

I have used Smoky Slate, All is Calm DSP, Cherry Cobbler & a dash of Silver Glimmer paper.  I stamped random snowflakes from Endless Wishes stamp set all over the white bag as it was looking a bit plain.

Project 2 is a matching card.  I really love the Smoky Slate sheet from the All Is Calm DSP ( can't you tell lol)  When teamed with white & silver it takes on a silvery feel.

Project 2 (Week 2 of my 12 Weeks Of Christmas)

My 3rd Project are little table gifts I made everyone attending my Christmas Creations day.  This is another thing I always try to do.  I have used the Tiny treat Boxes from the Holiday Catalogue & have stamped a snowflake from Endless wishes all the way around in craft White ink.  I used the very versatile Tag Talk stamp set for the small tag on top.

Project 3 (Week 3 of my 12 Weeks Of Christmas)

Inside is a little surprise for those attending.  I hope to be back Monday to share some photos from the day.   I will be glad to give my trimmer a rest I can tell you.  I have lots to share including the projects from the day, plus I've made quite a few samples.  I am also working on a few tutorials for you all for some of those projects.

All Is Calm Concertina Tag Topper Card

While at Paperific last month, I fell in love with Janine's Tag topper cards she had on display.  The original idea I believe came from a youtube video HERE.  Many of you may have seen these gorgeous creations & wondered how to make them.  I loved how unusual they were & they proved very popular on the stand.  I put making one on my to do list & finally I sat down today & made my very own.

I love the non-traditional colours in the All Is Calm DSP.  The subtle colours are just so pretty.  I purchased the Cheerful Christmas stamp set in my preorder but had yet to use it.  This project was the perfect excuse to ink it up!  I also used my absolute favourite stamp set Endless Wishes.

As you can see I have used quite a few of the products from our beautiful new Holiday Catalogue.  Do you have a copy yet?  If not let me know & I will post one out to you.  The lucky ladies in my stamp club will be making this card for this month's project.  We will also be making another fun fold card using more new Holiday Catalogue products.  I will share that one with you all next week.

Bright & Beautiful Lost Lagoon

I just love the simple traditional images in the Bright & Beautiful stamp set. The fact that the Star Framelits match perfectly is a major bonus! I know of lot of you purchased these as a bundle recently during the recent Bigshot promotion & just might be looking for ideas.  I came across a cute card by Carla Blake on Pinterest that I thought would really work for a little set I was creating.  I have changed mine a bit but I love it in Lost Lagoon so have kept that colour base.  I have made my stars a bit more 3d & have also created a little matching star box.

I have used the new Confetti Stars Punch & the new Lucky Stars Textured Embossing Folder on the card & went for a star overload!   This little duo is my class project for September, so if you would like to make them send me an email or call me to book your place.  I have a classes tab up the top of my blog with all the details.

Make It Calm Christmas Tree - CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #7

I love the look of the whole home decor scene on page 20 of the Holiday Catalogue, don't you?

The greens, silvers & blues are so pretty yet calming.  It reminds me of a Scandinavian/natural scene.  I thought I would try and make one of the trees in the scene.  Let me tell you it wasn't as easy as it looked & I wasn't entirely happy with the result.  I don't have those cute snowflakes so I have used the Bright & Beautiful Star bundle. I used the new Tree Punch to punch out lots of Pear Pizzazz trees & then I hot glued them upside down to a styrofoam tree.

What I love is that all the Stampin' Up! catalogues have so many options to copy or get ideas from.  I found a great blog the other day that does just that.  It is called CASE-ing the Catty  & there are so many great ideas there.  This week they are CASE-ing home decor items.  I hope my tree is suitable to enter!
